# Terms of service

Effective October 8, 2026

These terms apply when you use Établi: the website at etabli.io, the API at api.etabli.io, the MCP connector and bid links. By using Établi, you agree to them. If you use Établi for a company, you agree for that company and confirm that you can.

Our [privacy policy](https://etabli.io/privacy) explains how we handle personal information.

## In short

- Établi turns requests for physical work into contracts that independent workshops bid on and fulfil. Établi isn't the manufacturer.
- Plan previews aren't offers: prices come from workshops' bids. A contract forms when a buyer awards a bid, and Établi is the buyer's counterparty on it.
- Établi's fee is included in the price the buyer sees. Workshops are paid what they bid.
- Keep your API keys secret. You're responsible for agents acting for you.
- Établi doesn't take work that is illegal or unsafe, such as weapons, explosives, controlled substances or counterfeits.

## What Établi is

Établi is an API and website that turns requests for physical work into contracts that independent workshops bid on and fulfil. Établi plans each request, puts it out to bid, and runs the contracts and orders that follow.

Établi isn't the manufacturer. Workshops are independent businesses, or people working on their own, not Établi's employees or agents.

## Accounts and API keys

- Keep your API keys secret. Anyone who has a key can act for your account.
- You're responsible for your account and for what's done with it, including by agents and software acting for you. Decide what an agent may do before you let it award contracts or place orders.
- If a key may have leaked, tell us through [the support page](https://etabli.io/support#contact) and we'll revoke it.
- Give accurate details, and keep your email address current: it's where we send offers and notices.

## Previews and examples

Plan previews and the examples on this site, prices in them included, are there to help you decide. They aren't offers or quotes, and nobody is bound by them. Firm prices come from workshops' bids.

Specs and questions are written with the help of AI and can be wrong. Check a spec before you put it out to bid or award a contract.

## Contracts

A contract forms when a buyer awards a bid. Établi is the buyer's counterparty: the buyer contracts with Établi, and Établi gives the work to the winning workshop as its subcontractor.

A contract's spec, price, schedule and proof terms bind both sides. Answers given to questions while the job was out to bid are part of it.

Orders placed against a contract follow its terms. A backup workshop may fill some orders, on the same terms.

## Fees

Établi's fee is included in the price the buyer sees: a buyer pays the price on the offer, with no fee added on top. Postage, when a contract bills it per parcel, is charged as the contract says.

Workshops are paid the price they bid. Joining and bidding are free.

## Payment and delivery

Payment and delivery terms are set out in each contract: when payment is due, where and how orders ship, and the proof each order needs.

Online payment isn't live yet. While Établi is in early access, we arrange payment with each buyer and workshop directly.

## What you can't use Établi for

Établi doesn't take work that is illegal or unsafe, or meant to get around a law or regulation. Don't use it to make, move or obtain:

- Weapons or ammunition
- Explosives
- Controlled substances
- Counterfeit goods or forged documents
- Materials that could cause mass harm

We decline these requests, and we may close accounts that make them.

Don't abuse the service: no attacks, no attempts to get around security or rate limits, no use that overloads the API, and no scraping or harvesting of data about other people who use Établi. Reading our public pages is fine: they're written for people and agents alike.

## What you send us

You keep the rights to what you send: requests, logos, artwork and files. You let Établi, and the workshops working on your job, use them to plan, bid on and do the work. You confirm that you have the right to let us.

## Workshops

When you bid or do work through Établi, you agree to:

- Bid only what you can deliver: the price, the quantity and the schedule you state.
- Do the work to the contract's spec and schedule, and add the proof it asks for, such as photos and tracking numbers.
- Follow the law where you work, including licences, safety, tax and employment rules, and the rules in the contract.
- Tell us as early as you can if you can't make an order, so the backup can take it.
- Use buyers' and recipients' details only to do the work, and keep them private.

You're an independent business: you decide how to do the work, and you're responsible for your own staff, tools, materials, taxes and insurance.

If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, Établi handles the claim. If an order needs redoing because of a mistake on your side, the fix comes out of that order's pay, and we show you the evidence first.

## Disclaimers

We work to keep Établi running and accurate, but it's provided as is. We don't promise that it will always be available or free of errors, that every job will get bids, or that every order will go to plan; each contract says what happens when an order goes wrong. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms and in your contracts.

## Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Établi isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue or data. For any claim, our total liability is limited to what you paid Établi under the contract the claim is about, or US$100 if there is no such contract.

This doesn't limit what Établi owes a workshop for work done under a contract, or what a buyer owes under a contract. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

## Ending

You can stop using Établi at any time. To close your account, ask through [the support page](https://etabli.io/support#contact).

We may suspend or close an account, revoke its keys, or decline a request if it breaks these terms, puts people at risk or exposes Établi to legal risk.

Contracts already awarded, and money owed, survive the end of an account, and so do the parts of these terms that by their nature should, such as the limits on liability.

## Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell you before a significant change takes effect. If you keep using Établi after that, the new terms apply. Contracts already awarded keep the terms they were made under.

## Contact

Questions about these terms: write to us through [our support page](https://etabli.io/support#contact). We don't publish an email address yet, so the form is the way to reach us.
